Folks, this is the kind of art we artists yearn to display at any point after an art show begins. What covered the "Black on Black" until 5:05 p.m. today was a large and stunning original oil landscape. We tend to think weekends are the best for sales, but today just goes to show us artists that we must always be prepared, especially for the "Suddenly Sale" - the buyer who waltzes through our tent, whether looking at art or just passing through to another venue, and is captured by an artwork that speaks so powerfully to something deep inside that the collector cannot leave empty-handed.

Just a side note to Christy and Vicki, if we've got to "spread the wealth", let's remember those 2 fine artists who recently succumbed to the "Second Week Piccolo Spoleto Art Show Syndrome" and may be deluding themselves with the $2 collected so far in their "milk bottle marketing strategy" for an upcoming plein air painting trip:
