Lots of activity in Marion Square today, in spite of the rain.
We were ready for rain but open for business!
Rain doesn't keep collectors from Fine Art!

Demos were inside the tent.

While Rick was doing his demo, inquiring minds wanted to know what all the scurrying and hurrying behind him was about, not to mention that Bob above is wearing a black tulle bow tie around his neck and Dale above is wearing a black tulle bow tie on his hat.

Well...we were having a surprise wedding reception for one of PSOAE's long timer award-winning artists, K.C. Collins and her new husband but long-time companion and art tent putter upper and all-around K.C. supporter and really good guy, Chris Markham.  Chris and K.C. eloped a few months ago and got married in the court house so some of their artist friends put together a SECRET wedding reception in Marion Square - the mother and father of the bride were critical to the success of the SECRET, and it was definitely a PSOAE FIRST and a GREAT SUCCESS!

The Surprised but Happy Couple
(Notice the veil made of white paper towels. Artists are creative.)

 The Incredible Wedding Cake
(Thanks to Publix for Excellence on Short Notice!)

 The Garter
and a couple of bridesmaids (easily identified by white crepe paper in hair or on hats)

 The Groom and His Groomsmen
(Now we all know why some men were wearing black tulle bow ties...)

WHAT A DAY! WHAT A DAY!
