Merit Award Winner
"Mimosa"

Photography
Alison's award-winning photograph is a burst of color reminiscent of Fourth of July fireworks and a fine example of how she captures the beauty, elegance and integrity of her floral subjects.
"The Graduates"
Artists Sandra Baggette and Lynne Hardwick
with their husbands, Jack Baggette and Tony Hardwick
Sandra Baggette and Lynne Hardwick have participated in the Piccolo Spoleto Outdoor Art Exhibition for many years and both chose not to participate in the show this year. What a great treat for us today as they and their husbands made a special trip to visit their "art family" in Marion Square!

Jason and his Painting
Danita Cole Showing Jason how to Read his Painting
What a great day to meet Jason and others in Marion Square! Jason loves the beach so he wanted to paint a seascape with his wax and all the texture goodies he chose to mix with it. He chose sailboats and plastic shapes of a crab and other creatures to embed in the wax. By feeling the shapes and textures, he "reads" the painting. What a wonderful moment to share as I watched his reactions of joy and excitement when he recognized through touch the sea creatures and sailboats he had chosen to embed in the water. The paintings are finished by being inserted into a wooden frame with no glass - where most of us would sit and view a painting, Jason instead will reach out and feel his painting, "seeing it" with his hands.
