Piccolo Spoleto Outdoor Art Exhibition 2014 - Pre-Show Put Up Your Tent Day

NO, this is NOT a tent for short people.
even though I'm  4'11"

Many of the tents were up by the time I arrived about 3p.m.  Fortunately Dale and Carla Johannesmeyer were still there since Dale had POD duty until I arrived and then I had POD duty until 6:30 tonight.  Dale is pretty tall and he and another man helped me put the frame together and put the top on (that is definitely a challenge for me by myself).  The rest I can just take my time  with (which you need to do in this Charleston heat while drinking LOTS of water).  Above you can see I've attached one of the sides.  This is easier to accomplish before you raise the tent to its proper height (even for tall people).  Once I got it all together, I conscripted artist Tate Nation who kindly helped me raise the legs so tall people can come in also.  Then I had to stake it down.  And voila - it was finished, tied down, sealed up.  Then tomorrow morning I will set up my art panels, hang art and do finishing touches for Opening Day, Friday!
