Blogging Israel 2012 - Day 6

Watercolor Journal
Entrance to the City of David
Jerusalem

Among the many places we went in Jerusalem today, I was fascinated by the excavations in the City of David. So much has happened since I was here 6-7 years ago - there is always new information, new excavations, new finds.

We were able to see the site of what may well have been King David's palace and the excavations of the town he built below what is now the Temple Mount. We also walked a tunnel under the City of David and visited the Pool of Siloam watered by the Gihon Spring.
