Garden of Gethsemane
Leaving the kibbutz, we traveled to Beit Shean, a Roman city nearby that was destroyed by an earthquake. Wonderful ruins to paint! Lunch on the northern tip of the Dead Sea, then on to Jerusalem where we stopped at the Mount of Olives and walked down to the Garden of Gethsemane. It never fails to astound me how ancient these trees are yet how resilient and regenerative they are.
